Physically Plausible Realistic Grip-Lift Interaction Based on Hand Kinematics in VR

Immersive technology, refers to various novel ways of creating and interacting with applications experiences, e.g., virtual reality (VR), has been used in simulations training where preparing real/physical settings is not ideal or possible, the use contents otherwise beneficial. Realizing realistic interactions content crucial for a quality experience effectiveness such simulation training. In this paper, we propose kinematics-based hand interaction method enable physically plausible grip-lifting VR. The reflects three kinematic characteristics hand: force at contact points, finger flexion, speed hand/finger motion, developed grip-lift prototype using proposed method. To examine sense realism poses during interaction, conducted human subjects experiment prototype, resulting positive effects on perceived usefulness interaction. Grip-lifting fundamental technique that involved most embodied scenarios. Our would contribute design development which will discuss implications potential based our findings.
